I stumbled on your site while searching for a poem entitled "I Sat Down on a Bumblebee in Mrs. Jacksons's Yard". I found a reference with your website as the source, but found that I couldn't get in unless I were a registered member with a username and password. I would greatly appreciate it if the sender of that message could tell me where I can find a copy of that poem; I remember it well from gradeschool 60 years ago, and would like to pass it on to my grandchildren, who are now studying poetry in school.

I have ambivalent memories of Thermopolis: In 1953, I was taking my new wife on a combined honeymoon and return trip from home in Seattle to medical school in Omaha, when our ancient car broke down near Thermopolis. We spent three days waiting for parts to be bussed from Cheyenne. We still remember the kind people in town who were helpful and sympathetic; especially the nice man, who, when he saw my wife sunbathing on the grass at the motel, asked if she weren't worried about the rattlesnakes. That was the last time she set foot outside of the cabin until we left. Years later, Dr. Spence Walton, a respected teacher in my orthopedic residency in San Francisco, retired from the Army and practiced in Thermopolis for some years.

So, it's a small world after all, and I hope that the nice people in Thermopolis can find and send me the source of the bumblebee poem.

OK, just send me the answer to the next couple of sets of questions then we can help your class get rockin !!!

1. Do you have someone to do the web design for a website? who? email address? They must have a copy of FrontPage any version but 2000 best. They will spend a bit of time getting the site up for sure initially, but then after its solid not much update time is needed except for reunion time I guess.

2. Do you have someone to handle the mail list? who? email address? This should be someone that knows many of your classmates email addresses if possible, and has a little time to get them onto the list properly, and will change or delete or add users on request. Not tough.

Answer both of those then we can proceed.

I had a lot of fun at the class reunion. Was glad to see Bill Merrill and Pat Spratt of your class. I thought Thermopolis looked really good from five years ago. I liked the statue on Broadway and the dinosaur on the corner. I was very surprised; there seemed to be no bars downtown. Remember growing up, bars all the way down the north side of Broadway. Well, thanks to Kyle and a few of my cronies and elders (like Pat), found places to imbid.

Our class of '62 is meeting again in five years, but I hope to get back for reunion weekend before that. Maybe Zoe will come with me.
